Let Geoinvestigate quote for your next desk study, geotechnical, geo-environmental, contaminated land or borehole site investigation in Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Brighton.
From Geoinvestigate’s Southern Office in Reading our team of dedicated geoscientists provide expertise in the Geo-environmental, Geotechnical, Engineering Geology and Contaminated Land sectors helping architects, builders, surveyors, structural engineers, insurers, project managers, local authorities and private home owners get the right solution no matter the size of their development or how complex the problems with the ground may be.
From our offices in the South of England, Geoinvestigate is looking to expand its contaminated land consultancy and site investigation services in the Cirencester, Swindon and Bicester. From 3 UK bases Geoinvestigate provides, phase 1 desk studies, phase 2 borehole site investigations, contaminated land risk assessments, geotechnical, geo-environmental and drilling investigations across the country from Edinburgh to London and further afield.
Owing to a rapidly increasing workload, the arrival of another new drill rig and a recently opened site investigation office in Reading, Geoinvestigate is also aiming to strengthen, expand and spread its activities even further across the UK.
Jack Harper manager of Geoinvestigate’s Reading borehole site investigation office said we are particularly interested in in expanding our southern operations into Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Brighton as work along the south coast corridor is very important to us.
Jack said though we are active in Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Brighton we could do with increasing our work load in these areas which are still relatively close to home for us. As we regularly work as far as the Isle of Wight, Edinburgh, Norwich and occasionally even Guernsey or France anything within 3 hours travelling we consider to be home ground.
One problem the company has been particularly busy with this year is the investigation of slope instability on the south coast. Jack said this year was a record for us for slope problems, slips and slides. We saw a significant increase in sudden slope failures and collapses in late January and February 2014 associated with the high rainfall and flooding. It was not only a problem occurring in Southern England but also in other parts of the United Kingdom. The year before Geoinvestigate had predicted the possibility of a significant increase in slope failures and slips if a period of particularly wet weather occurred.
Over the years the company has developed a very good knowledge of the environmental and geotechnical problems existing in the South of England including sinkholes, building damage caused by clay shrinkage, slope instability, ancient chalk and flint workings and contaminated land associated with the areas diverse industrial and commercial activities.
In addition to providing borehole site investigation services in Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Brighton, Geoinvestigate also provides geo-investigation services in the fields of geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy, engineering geology, walk-over surveys, borehole drilling, site investigation, Phase 1 desk studies, Phase 2 site investigations, drilling and testing, landfill gas surveys and contaminated land investigations with full remediation and validation strategies.
Geoinvestigate would be pleased to quote for your next borehole site investigation or desk study site investigation in Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne and Brighton.
